What is Spline?

Spline is a browser-based design platform for creating and collaborating on interactive, production-ready 2D and 3D experiences. It combines modeling, materials, animation, interaction, real-time data, team feedback, and multi-platform publishing in one workspace.

Modeling and materials

Designers can build scenes with primitives and 3D modeling tools, use real-time rendering, and create layered materials or work from the included material library.

Animation and interactivity

Spline supports states, events, timeline animation, game controls, physics, and particles. These systems turn a static scene into an interactive experience without requiring the interaction to be rebuilt from scratch in code.

Variables and live data

Variables, webhooks, APIs, and local storage can connect a design to changing data and application behavior. Availability depends on the workspace plan.

Collaboration and publishing with Spline

Teams can invite collaborators, add comments, share links, and edit work together in real time. Finished experiences can be shipped to websites and integrated with tools such as Webflow, Framer, Wix Studio, HTML and JavaScript, React, and Next.js. Professional and enterprise plans also support Apple, Android, code, or self-hosted export options.

Spline plans and AI add-on

The Free plan includes limited files, unlimited viewers, templates, and watermarked web exports. Starter removes the web-export watermark and expands file and media options. Professional adds broader project, scene, video, code, variable, API, webhook, and mobile export capabilities. Enterprise adds centralized administration, SAML SSO, version history, onboarding, and self-hosted deployment. Spline AI is offered as an add-on for AI 3D generation, texture generation, and style transfer.
